Privacy
No tracking. cjube sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
Videos load only when you click play. Until then, nothing is loaded from YouTube, Vimeo or Dailymotion – preview images and fonts come from this server. When you press play, the video loads from the provider (YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode via youtube-nocookie.com, Vimeo with “do not track”), and their privacy policies apply. If you tick “always allow”, your browser remembers that choice locally (localStorage); you can reset it at the bottom of every page.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical access data (such as IP address and time) to run the service securely.
Short version: cjube sets no cookies, uses no analytics and shows no ads. Nothing is loaded from YouTube, Vimeo or Dailymotion until you press play.
1. Who is responsible
Roland Hausmann, Sunder Kirchweg 71, 29308 Winsen (Aller), Germany, name.tag@cjube.com (controller under the GDPR). We are not required to appoint a data protection officer.
2. Hosting and server logs
cjube is hosted by cyon AG, Brunngässlein 12, 4052 Basel, Switzerland, on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). Switzerland has an adequacy decision of the European Commission.
When you open a page, the server records technical access data: IP address, date and time, requested address, status code, transferred data volume, referrer and browser identification. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The logs are kept for a limited time by the hosting provider and then deleted.
3. No cookies, no analytics
Public pages of cjube set no cookies. We use no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising. Preview images and fonts come from our own server, not from third parties.
4. Videos – only after you press play
Until you press play, a video is only a preview image from our server. When you press play, the video loads from its provider, and your browser connects to their servers. They receive at least your IP address and the information that you watch this video, and may set cookies or similar. Legal basis is your consent by pressing play (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time by not playing further videos and resetting your choice (see below).
- YouTube: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Videos play in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); to control the player, the YouTube player script is loaded from youtube.com. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Google privacy policy
- Vimeo: Vimeo.com, Inc., USA. Videos play with “do not track” enabled. Vimeo is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Vimeo privacy policy
- Dailymotion: Dailymotion SA, France. Dailymotion privacy policy
If you tick “always allow” for a provider, your browser remembers this choice in its local storage (localStorage). It never leaves your device and is not a cookie. You can delete it with “reset video permissions” at the bottom of every page or by clearing your browser data. This storage is strictly necessary for the function you asked for (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).
5. Submitting videos
Only invited people can submit videos, each with a personal key. For them we store a name or nickname, the key (only as a hash), the submitted links and notes, and when and how often they submitted. The key also stays in the local storage of their browser. To prevent abuse, we count requests per key and per IP address; the IP address is stored only as a keyed hash and deleted after one day (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Submitter data is deleted when access ends, unless the submitted videos are still published.
6. Contact by e-mail
If you write to us, we use your address and message only to answer you (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and delete them when the matter is settled, unless we must keep them by law.
7. Editors
People who maintain cjube log in to the Contao backend. Only there a session cookie is set, which ends when they log out or close the browser.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Write to the address above. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
As of November 2026.
